For shipping & maritime operations
The email that runs a voyage should not live in one person’s inbox.
Signal Email is a shared workspace for the desks that run ships. It connects the mailboxes your team already uses — Gmail, Microsoft 365, or IMAP — and turns the correspondence behind a voyage, a charter fixture, or a cargo claim into something a whole desk can work from together.
Signal Email is sold to maritime organisations. Access is provided by your company — there is no consumer sign-up.
What Signal Email does
Operational email is a team sport played with single-player tools. Signal Email gives the desk one place to read it, discuss it, and act on it.
Shared mailboxes, not forwarded chains
Operations, chartering, and claims desks work a mailbox together. Everyone sees the same correspondence, who is handling what, and what has already been answered.
A conversation beside every thread
Each email thread carries its own side-car chat. Colleagues ask questions, agree on a reply, and leave context on the record — without another internal forward.
Cases that hold the whole story
Group the threads for a voyage, a fixture, or a claim into a Case with its own chat, files, and timeline. The history stays with the job, not in one person's inbox.
How Signal Email connects to Gmail
When you connect a Gmail account, you are asked to grant Signal Email a specific, limited set of permissions. Here is every one of them and what we do with it. The same list appears in our privacy policy.
Read your mail
gmail.readonlyWe sync the messages, attachments, and threads in the mailbox you connect so your team can see the correspondence, discuss it alongside the thread, and attach it to a shared Case. You choose how far back to import. New mail appears within seconds.
Send mail you write
gmail.sendReplies, forwards, new messages, scheduled sends, and out-of-office auto-replies you have set up go out from your own address, into the right thread. We never send anything you did not compose and authorise.
Know which account you connected
userinfo.email · userinfo.profileWe read the address and display name of the Google account once, at the moment you connect it, so the mailbox is labelled correctly and your outgoing mail carries the right From address. Nothing else.
We never change your Gmail mailbox
Signal Email does not request permission to modify your mail, and does not write to it. Reading, archiving, tagging, and everything else you do to organise mail inside Signal Email happens in Signal Email only — it is never written back to Gmail. Sending a message you have written is the only change we make to your Google account.
Your mail is stored in your own organisation’s workspace, kept isolated from every other customer, and used to provide the Service to your team. You can disconnect a mailbox at any time from your settings, and revoke Signal Email’s access from your Google account. Full detail — retention, sub-processors, your rights, and how to reach us — is in the privacy policy. Signal Email’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
